A Project Controls Specialist is needed for a utility holding company in the Minneapolis, MN area. This role is for an experienced Project Controls professional who will support Project Managers by developing project estimates, managing schedules and costs, and providing accurate financial forecasting, with a preference for candidates from a nuclear or utility background.

responsibilities:
- Provides primary project controls support to Project Managers.
- Generates reports, responds to data requests, and assists with control activities.
- Develops, maintains, and supports project schedules and detailed cost tracking.
- Assists Project Managers with accurate project forecasting, expenditure reviews, and developing preliminary and refined estimates for long-range planning and funding.
- Coordinates with Project Managers and collaborates with project initiators and asset owners.
- Engages in heavy interfacing with internal stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel is essential.
- Experience with Primavera P6 and SAP Work and Asset Management is required.
- Familiarity with data analytics reporting tools is preferred.
- Experience with Oracle Unifier is a key skill.
- strong understanding of project finance, controls, and work order planning and operations.
