An Engineering Technologist is needed for a world class utility company in the Fort Wayne, IN area. This Engineering Technologist role rwill perform circuit analysis and customer impact studies while developing technical, planning, and communication skills under the guidance of higher-level employees.

responsibilities:
- Perform special technical functions with proper guidance, become familiar with industry standards and equipment, and assist senior employees with routine problems.
- Follow company policies and external regulations, perform assigned tasks as coached, and work effectively with others.
- Maintain records, prepare reports, prioritize work, assist with budget and planning meetings, and help prepare cost estimates.
- Seek opportunities to solve simple problems, take initiative to increase technical knowledge, and apply technical skills to resolve basic issues.
- Resolve conflicts, communicate ideas clearly both verbally and in writing, listen to instructions, and work well as a team player.
- Understand the company's organizational structure and the role of their business unit.
- Develop a basic understanding of utility accounting and finance and make decisions under the guidance of senior employees.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering technology from an ABET-accredited program is preferred.
- Engineering degrees will also be considered.
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering technology (non-ABET) plus a Professional Engineers (PE) license.
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering technology (non-ABET) plus a Master's or Ph.D. in engineering technology from a university with an ABET-accredited Bachelor's program.
