A Technician Associate is needed for a world class utility company in the Fort Wayne, IN area. This position requires an Engineering Technologist to utilize DDS software for utility pole analysis, collaborate with design teams on grid modernization projects, and ensure the quality and accuracy of designs.

responsibilities:
- Utilize DDS software for pole analysis.
- Work on projects related to grid modernization and line rebuilds.
- Track project due dates.
- Collaborate with design teams, project managers (PMs), and line coordinators to ensure designs are accurate and high-quality.
- Assist in handling routine problems under supervision.
- Follows direction from higher-level employees and works well with others.
- Plans work according to company standards, prioritizes tasks, and maintains accurate records.
- Applies technical knowledge to resolve issues.
- Takes initiative to improve processes and increase job knowledge.
- Gathers and analyzes information to solve problems.
- Communicates effectively both orally and in writing with internal and external customers.
- Assists with technical reports and is a team player.
- Develops decision-making skills based on sound judgment and job knowledge.
- Understands the local organizational unit's roles and responsibilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or
- An Associate's Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Civil/Mechanical Engineering Technology or related fields.
- Minimum 2 years of related utility industry work experience is required if the candidate only has a high school diploma.
