An Area Planner and Scheduler is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Thacker Pass, NV area. This job is for an experienced Project Planner/Scheduler who will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules, ensuring all construction activities are coordinated and comply with project milestones and procedures.

responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and monitor project construction schedules, particularly for the Sulfuric Acid Plant (SAP) area, including creating 90-day and 3-week lookahead schedules and assessing progress.
- Coordinate with all project entities to collect, verify, and integrate the work scope into the master project plan, including subcontractor schedules.
- Identify, analyze, and provide solutions to scheduling issues, performing detailed analysis of problem areas and recommending alternatives for improvement.
- Monitor and report on the critical path and schedule performance, issuing all required reports to management.
- Review design criteria and quantities for accuracy, ensuring all project activities support key milestones.
- Drive the project team's focus on planning, scheduling, and forecasting, and help develop workarounds when necessary.
- Analyze construction productivity and assist with resource loading and leveling.
- Serve as a central point of contact for scheduling needs, providing guidance to the project team.
- A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Engineering or Construction Management.
- A minimum of 10 years of EPC/EPCM experience in Project Controls, with at least 3 years on a large or major project.
- Must be proficient with scheduling systems like P6 and MS Office applications.
- Requires advanced knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, and construction processes, as well as strong communication skills.
