A Project Manager is needed for a manufacturing company considered one of the world's leading innovators in materials science in the Fairport, NY area. This role will oversee the final stages of equipment acceptance for a large-scale expansion, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure timely qualification, documentation, and compliance of new equipment and infrastructure.

responsibilities:
- Leads and coordinates the equipment acceptance process for all remaining installations in B60 and annex areas, including the stockroom and Optical Cleaning Center.
- Tracks and manages punch lists, qualification protocols, and final acceptance criteria with engineering, operations, and quality teams.
- Maintains and updates project schedules, ensuring they align with the broader Fairport Expansion timeline.
- Facilitates communication between internal stakeholders such as Facilities, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance.
- Supports documentation and reporting for capital capitalization and project closeout activities.
- Ensures compliance with safety, regulatory, and internal quality standards throughout the acceptance process.
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field is preferred, though a minimum of an Associate's degree plus relevant experience is acceptable.
- Candidates should have 5-7+ years of experience in project management and be a self-starter.
- A manufacturing background, especially in a technical or optics field, is preferred. Experience in construction or other project management fields is also relevant.
- The ideal candidate has experience with equipment qualification, capital project closeout, and cross-functional coordination.
- Familiarity with cleanroom environments and precision optics manufacturing is a plus.
- strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to strategize priorities and identify efficiencies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SharePoint is required.
