An Engineer Associate is needed for a world class utility company in the Fort Wayne, IN area. This engineering position will perform engineering studies and detailed scoping for electrical distribution system projects, applying foundational engineering knowledge under the guidance of senior engineers.

responsibilities:
- Apply engineering theory to solve well-defined problems with guidance.
- Assist higher-level engineers on portions of complex problems.
- Gain familiarity with relevant standards, codes, regulations, equipment, and business processes.
- Coordinate work activities of others for routine tasks.
- Work is monitored by senior employees to ensure compliance with guidelines.
- Provide input for project planning documents and scheduling.
- Monitor project status and make recommendations.
- Actively seek information and understanding of engineering problems.
- Apply basic techniques to analyze and resolve routine technical problems.
- Assist in preparing reports and technical papers.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Listen to and understand instructions.
- Network with peers to share information.
- Develop effective relationships with colleagues.
- Demonstrate an ability to be a team player.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination is preferred.
- Bachelor's in non-ABET engineering plus a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Bachelor's in non-ABET engineering plus a Master's or PhD from a university with an ABET-accredited program.
