An Electrical Engineer is needed for a company that transports, distributes and generates energy, with diversified assets that include a balance between crude oil and natural gas in the Houston, TX area. This role involves overseeing and managing the design of Liquids Pump station facilities for capital projects, ensuring compliance with all company and industry standards, while also coordinating with third-party engineering firms and internal stakeholders, and performing technical reviews and evaluations.

responsibilities:
- Ensure all pump station designs meet regulations, industry codes, and corporate standards.
- Manage the third-party engineering firm's design deliverables, ensuring they stay within the project budget and schedule.
- Design electrical components and their interconnects.
- Review and approve design documents, including drawings, technical reports, and material lists.
- Participate in design review meetings with various stakeholders (engineering firm, Project Manager, Operations, and Construction) to discuss scope, design, performance, and constructability.
- Review vendor material quotations, perform technical evaluations, and recommend selections based on technical merit, price, and delivery.
- Actively identify and communicate new lessons learned and quality incidents.
- Support department initiatives as needed.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 4 years of industry experience.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and prioritize tasks.
- strong problem-solving skills, utilizing standards, modifying them, or drawing on past experience.
- Effective communication of technical issues and their impacts to both technical and non-technical staff.
