A Metrology Operator is needed in the Santa Clara, CA area for an American corporation that supplies equipment, services and software for the manufacture of semiconductor chips for electronics, flat panel displays for computers, smartphones, televisions, and solar products.This position requires an experienced Metrology Operator to perform hands-on operation of semiconductor processing equipment, manage process data, and support customers within a cleanroom environment, while adhering to safety protocols.

responsibilities:
- Operate assigned semiconductor process equipment, including those for Metrology, PVD, CVD, RTP, Etch, ECP, Clean, Metal Dep., and Lithography.
- Perform basic system qualification of assigned equipment.
- Support process demonstrations for both internal and external customers.
- Compile and update process data and specifications.
- Use a real-time database to monitor and input data, and to track equipment and production performance.
- Work shifts may include a compressed or augmented work week schedule to meet client needs.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the employer and/or client.
Experience:
- A technical degree with at least 1 year of industry experience.
- OR 5+ years of industry experience in a Semiconductor Fab production and/or R&D environment.
- Hands-on experience with various types of semiconductor processing equipment.
- Reasonable analytical skills.
- Reasonable problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Moderate oral and written communication skills.
- Experience interfacing with members of various departments.
- Reasonable understanding of cleanroom protocol.
- Reasonable organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Reasonable computer skills.
- Good attention to detail.
