A Production Planner is needed for a multinational corporation that produces mirrors as well as a variety of construction, high-performance, and other materials in the Norcross, GA area. The Production Planner is responsible for orchestrating the entire manufacturing process, from planning material usage and setting up orders in an ERP system to coordinating with cross-functional teams and managing inventory to ensure timely production and shipping.

responsibilities:
- Plans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of assigned projects.
- Forecasts monthly revenue, labor costs, and gross profit, and manages the project budget to oversee profitability.
- Handles project invoicing, billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Establishes and oversees project management plans, including health and safety, and quality assurance.
- Manages and negotiates changes to the scope of work with clients and subcontractors.
- Maintains client relationships and works to secure additional projects.
- Assigns responsibilities to team members, provides performance feedback, and develops career plans for direct reports.
- Identifies and executes action plans to address potential cost overruns or delays.
- Monitors and reports project progress to management, and acts as the company's representative with clients and subcontractors.
- Participates in proposal development, client meetings, and other business development activities.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Knowledge of production procedures - particularly within a Made to Order (MTO) or Engineered to Order (ETO) manufacturing environment.
- Must have an excellent attendance record.
- Ability to read production drawings and translate requirements into production bill of materials and work center routings.
- Ability to use email in a professional work environment with appropriate clarity and detail with proper email etiquette.
- Ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner via phone, email, or personal interaction with both internal employees and outside vendors and customers.
