A Senior Engineer is needed for a company that transports, distributes and generates energy, with diversified assets that include a balance between crude oil and natural gas in the Houston, TX area. This Senior Engineer role requires pipeline industry experience to independently lead and sponsor high-value integrity projects, ensuring strategic alignment, technical compliance, and successful execution from start to finish.

responsibilities:
- Lead non-routine Integrity projects from start to finish, including securing funding, managing scope and budget, and overseeing execution.
- Act as the primary interface for Integrity & Risk Management (I&RM) on projects involving new assets or divestitures.
- Represent the I&RM department in cross-functional teams to ensure integrity plans are integrated with strategic asset management initiatives.
- Manage project scope, schedule, costs, and risks; create outage plans; coordinate with contractors; and ensure proper documentation.
- Mentor junior staff, develop new procedures, and monitor industry for technical innovations.
- Develop project scopes and business cases, secure funding (often for projects over $100M), oversee project execution, and provide oversight on scope, cost, and schedule.
- Ensure I&RM is addressed in due diligence processes, develop I&RM plans and budgets for new projects/acquisitions, and provide technical support for business development initiatives.
- Act as a liaison for I&RM, serving as an asset lead for pipelines, and making balanced business recommendations to senior leadership.
- Maintain a safe work environment, monitor project performance, create outage plans, review inspector reports, and ensure project documentation is complete.

- Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
- Preference for candidate to be registered as a professional engineer (P.Eng. and/or PE).
- A minimum of 7 years of related experience (project management, integrity, and/or other pipeline industry related experience is an asset); comparable technical or operational experience will be considered.
