A Sourcing Specialist is needed for a company that transports, distributes and generates energy, with diversified assets that include a balance between crude oil and natural gas in the Houston TX area. This role requires an experienced professional sourcing to develop and implement category strategies, manage supplier relationships, and negotiate large-scale agreements to mitigate risk and deliver competitive advantage for the company.

responsibilities:
- Develop and implement TIS category strategies by managing cross-functional teams.
- Execute sourcing strategies from proposal development to contract negotiation and execution.
- Manage internal stakeholder relationships to gain input for demand planning and strategy development.
- Maintain and interpret market intelligence and demand profiles to drive strategies.
- Build cost models to understand value and costs for negotiations.
- Manage Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activities throughout the relationship lifecycle, including performance management and value engineering.
- Partner with suppliers to reduce costs and identify improvements.
- Optimize and leverage category management processes for significant financial impact.
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies during M&A lifecycles.
- Partner with IT teams to address integration challenges.
- Superior communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with strong influencing abilities.
- Experience negotiating large Software, Hardware, and TIS service agreements.
- Ability to manage supplier relationships and performance with minimal supervision.
- University degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible and related sourcing experience in the TIS category (Software, Hardware, and TIS services).
