A Hardware Engineer is needed for an American retail corporation that operates a chain of discount department stores and hypermarkets in the Brooklyn Park, MN area. This role requires a Hardware Engineer to review CAD designs for infrastructure deployments, ensuring compliance with technical standards and accurate material counts while actively supporting and troubleshooting the deployment process to ensure successful project delivery.

responsibilities:
- Conduct reviews of low voltage, electrical, and fixture plans to ensure they meet design criteria and internal standards.
- Identify design flaws, conflicts, or gaps and work with teams/vendors to resolve them, tracking them to completion.
- Accurately count devices and maintain this data to help project managers with deployment forecasting.
- Actively monitor the health of deployments, identify and triage issues in real time, and escalate problems as needed.
- Work with engineering, deployment, and vendor partners to ensure projects are delivered on time and with high quality.
- Create and maintain detailed records of design reviews, issue logs, and resolution timelines.
- Help improve existing design review and deployment support processes.
- Verify correct labeling, identification, and placement of devices in CAD designs.
- Confirm cable run lengths.
- Ensure the Bill of Materials (BOM) is accurate for correct ordering.
- Experience with field engineering, infrastructure deployment, or related roles.
- Proficiency in reading low voltage, electrical, and fixture plans.
- Experience with CAD-based design reviews.
- strong knowledge of structured cabling, low voltage infrastructure, and hardware placement.
- Proven ability to document and close out issues.
- strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with multi-site deployments.
