A Quality Control Associate is needed for a Swiss multinational manufacturing company for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and nutrition sectors, in the Vacaville, CA area. This job is responsible for performing a wide range of materials testing, data analysis, and documentation review in accordance with cGMP regulations to ensure quality and compliance.

responsibilities:
- Perform and document a variety of lab tests, from basic to moderately complex.
- Review and analyze data for trends, discrepancies, and adherence to criteria.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and identify gaps in procedures.
- Support quality investigations and CAPA initiatives.
- Handle equipment qualification and maintenance.
- Prepare and maintain lab materials like standards and cultures.
- Participate in assay transfer and validation.
- Assist with internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.
- Write protocols and reports with limited supervision.
- Collaborate with teams on projects and process improvements.
- Train and be trained on procedures.
- Meet performance goals and deadlines.
- A Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience in a scientific field.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
- strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Demonstrated ability to apply scientific principles and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
