Growing manufacturer in Springfield, VA is seeking a Manufacturing Process Specialist to add to their team. This role works closely with production supervisors and technical teams, offering a unique opportunity for growth to a future leadership role. The ideal candidate will have an engineering or technical background, Lean Six Sigma certification and familiarity with SAP. Hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience required. responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert on process workflows, equipment, and SAP-related transactions across departments
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues effectively
- Lead and support improvement projects across manufacturing areas
- Support documentation, training, and knowledge transfer initiatives
- Perform structured process data reviews
- Help build and maintain standardized workflows
- Serve as backup for production and process supervisors
- Educational background in engineering or related technical field preferred
- Familiarity with SAP
- Experience with batch manufacturing preferred
- Process control experience in manufacturing
- Hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting capabilities
- strong analytical mindset and proficiency with data tools including Excel or Power BI
- Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
- Must be comfortable wearing required PPE and working around chemicals, as well as ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
