A Project Engineer is needed for a Swiss multinational manufacturing company for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and nutrition sectors. Remote work. This MES Engineer role is responsible for supporting the implementation and use of manufacturing execution systems by providing technical expertise, troubleshooting equipment issues, managing projects, and ensuring compliance through documentation and quality-related tasks.

responsibilities:
- Supports the requirements gathering, testing, and implementation of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Works with a balance of supervision and autonomy.
- Develops expertise in manufacturing equipment and process automation systems.
- Manages and resolves equipment breakdowns and quality issues.
- Provides subject matter expertise (SME) for process equipment design and operation.
- Conducts technical analyses and troubleshooting on equipment and systems, including PI data analyses, code review, and flow path analysis.
- Assists with tech transfer of new processes.
- Plans and executes plant projects related to automation and process improvements.
- Executes test scripts, including design, simulation, and wet testing.
- Completes MES review and approval of batch records.
- Authors and reviews test protocols.
