A Chemical Engineer is needed for a multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology company, whose areas of business include pharmaceuticals, consumer healthcare products, agricultural chemicals, seeds and biotechnology products in the Kansas City, MO area. This role seeks a chemical engineering professional to clear a backlog of projects and improve manufacturing processes, documentation, and training at an active ingredient manufacturing facility.

responsibilities:
- Work with technical and operational teams to resolve technical issues related to PHA (Process Hazard Analysis), MOC (Management of Change), and optimization.
- Define, validate, and report environmental data for permitting and annual reports.
- Review and improve plant documentation, including procedures and P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), to enhance clarity and detail.
- Define, document, and execute pressure safety design packages.
- Collaborate with engineering to scope and plan process and reliability improvement projects.
- Assist in improving plant training programs.

- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills (technical and non-technical).
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or another engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process measurement and applications within a manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environment.
- Knowledge of chemical processes and ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
- Knowledge of OSHA PSM/EPA RMP requirements.
