A Project Manager is needed for a utility holding company in the Denver, CO area. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of complex, high-risk projects, with a primary focus on supporting a multi-year EMS system upgrade by managing work plans, resources, and reporting for multiple workstreams.

responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee and manage complex, high-risk projects. This includes developing and managing project work plans, schedules, budgets, and work breakdown structures.
- Risk Mitigation: Actively work to minimize project risk.
- EMS Upgrade Project Support: Assist the Program Manager with various project-level tasks for the EMS Upgrade project, including schedule and resource management.
- Work Planning: Support and manage work plans for 15 workstreams, ensuring alignment and managing dependencies.
- Reporting: Collect weekly status reports from workstream leads and consolidate them into a weekly project status report for the Program Manager.
- Approvals: Facilitate and track formal approvals for project and contractual deliverables.
- Resource Management: Maintain current resource capacity planning, review actuals versus forecasts, and manage project calendars on SharePoint.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
- Demonstrated experience with complex, multi-year system implementations, especially those requiring close management of the critical path.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to various management styles.
- Ability to follow and understand technical conversations related to software and hardware projects.
- Skill in visually representing information for a broad audience.
- Experience in the utility or energy industry.
- Experience with real-time, Operational Technology solutions in a 24/7 environment (e.g., Electric Transmission or Distribution SCADA).
