Longstanding manufacturing company in Houston, TX is looking to add a Director of Program Management to the leadership team due to growth. This role will lead highly impactfu, transformational cross-functional product development and deployment programs for energy exploration monitoring solutions to business success. Will need to effectively interact with all levels to lead programs and projects from inception through full development process culminating in on-time market introduction and manufacturing ramp of high-quality new products following stage/gate and hybrid methodologies. The role requires experience and expertise to identify and manage risks to time-to-market, investment, capabilities, and cost. Must possess a keen ability to identify and manage the critical path coupled with significant leadership skills to be a trusted and collaborative partner with all stakeholders. Must have experience in physical products. This role is direct hire and offers flexible work hours as needed.

Leadership role:
- Manage a team of program and project managers as required or needed
- Other leadership duties as required by the VP of Engineering or the Chief Technology Officer
- Leads, plans, and coordinates cross-functional efforts to develop and launch successful new products.
- Hands-on project leadership to meet business and technical requirements
- Experience in identifying inter-dependencies and hands-offs to craft comprehensive project plans and scheduled
- Regularly reports on performance of the project, including weekly status reporting, monthly presentations, and stage/gate or change requests to ensure full stakeholder engagement.
- Expert in the stage/gate and NPI processes to provide training and mentoring as needed.
- Supports efforts to continually evolve the project and program management processes to incorporate lessons learned and adopt contemporary best practices
- Works for and consults with the VP Engineering and the Chief Technology Officer
- Develops new products (NPI) with a thorough stage-gate process to be built with quality, on time, and on budget.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Field Service, Marketing and Sales, Supply Chain and Manufacturing departments as well as partners to coordinate new product launch and system deployment.
- Drives and runs gate reviews and participates in change requests and compiles weekly and monthly updates
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate clearly and concisely up and down the organization.
- Technical knowledge of product development, market launch, production tooling and process creation, and supply-chain to achieve on-time and on-budget product launch.
- Influence, negotiation, and consensus building skills to foster stakeholder engagement and executive leadership alignment
- Innate sense for when escalation is needed to keep program on track for business success.
- Planning and facilitation skills to develop and maintain program and project plans
- Ability to define processes, resources, capabilities, and integration points for new solutions to be delivered.
- Fluent in project management software and management tools, such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Assana, or similar tool suites
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
