Large utility is looking for a Utility Field Coordinator in Saginaw, MI. This position requires a dependable and detail-oriented individual to perform comprehensive site readiness reviews before electric line construction, using their knowledge of construction methods, safety protocols, and basic computer skills to ensure the site is prepared for the work crew.

responsibilities:
Perform Site Readiness Reviews before construction, checking for:
- Site accessibility and grading.
- Location and staking of both customer and public facilities.
- Availability of a clear trench path.
- Completion of forestry work.
- Identification of obstructions in the area.
- Installation, marking, and stringing of customer conduits.
- Identification of traffic control requirements.
- Verification of primary and secondary voltages.
- Identification of special equipment needs.
- Determination of whether a switching order is required.
- Confirmation of material delivery.
- Verification that the electric meter is mounted in the correct designed location and at the proper height, and is inspected.
- Confirmation that the gas meter location is marked.
- Coordination of any necessary outages.
- Documentation of other miscellaneous site observations.
Technical Knowledge:
- Knowledge of electric line construction methods and procedures.
- Understanding of roadway protection requirements.
- Familiarity with the capabilities of tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints used in line construction.
Computer Skills:
- Basic skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Proficiency in uploading and downloading files from remote locations via wireless connectivity.
- Dependable with good time management skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet a schedule.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A team player.
