We are in search of a skilled Quality Control Lab Technician to join an industry leader within the Breckenridge MN area. We are seeking candidates who are interested in joining a dynamic team to further their career within a fast growing plant. The ideal candidate will have a background in microbiological testing, chemical/physical analysis and preparation of laboratory cultures. Working experience of GLP's along with aseptic sampling principles is an advantage.
Candidates must have a minimum of a High School Degree + 1-3 years of relatable working experience. This position is day shift (7-3PM) ranging from $21-$23/hr. responsibilities:
- Execute microbiological testing including testing for Coliforms, QPCR, LAMP PCR, Salmonella and Listeria.
- Performs chemical and physical analyses (moisture, protein, phosphate, starch, salt, specific gravity)
- Execute yeast appearance and sensory testing including to determine odor, color and texture analysis.
- Sampling of raw materials including process water, molasses, production line and receivers/fermenters, etc.
- Prepares laboratory culture vessels required for the first factory fermentation stage.
- Routinely performs quality control checks on finished product.
- Gather and send samples to external laboratories.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
- Troubleshoots and corrects equipment problems.
- Actively take part in testing programs to ensure the reproducibility and accuracy of the data generated lab
- Document and report laboratory data.
- Keep recording of data manually and/or electronically.
- Maintains compliance of product criteria to prepare for release from facility
- Maintain and improve a clean and orderly laboratory environment.
- Applies GL Practices, ISO 17025 principles, Lean Six Sigma Tools and company healthy and safety practices
