A Production Planner in the Camarillo, CA area is needed for a multinational power management company. A production planner's main job is to create and maintain production schedules for their assigned area to meet customer demand while ensuring key performance indicators like service, quality, and inventory are met.

responsibilities:
- Schedules and coordinates the flow of work and materials within and between departments.
- Establishes priorities for customer orders and adjusts schedules based on resources.
- Allocates materials and ensures timely delivery from suppliers.
- Generates and releases work orders to the shop floor.
- Develops and follows up on action plans to meet targets.
- Monitors and ensures work orders are finished on time.
- Prepares status and performance reports.
- Collaborates with various departments to achieve results.
- Implements best practices to improve customer satisfaction and reduce cycle time.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- 1+ years' experience with material planning , inventory control related functions within a manufacturing production environment.
- 2+ years' experience in Material Planning in a manufacturing environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of materials planning and inventory control processes.
- Thorough knowledge of material planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic.
- Understanding of Supply Chain Management operations concept surrounding production planning, inventory control, purchasing, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction concepts and tool sets as they relate to material management.
- Previous Aerospace experience.
- Proven experience in Inventory management.
