A Packaging Engineer is needed in the Clark, NJ area for one of the world's largest cosmetics company, with activities spanning skin care, sun protection, make-up, perfume, hair care and hair color. The job involves a mix of hands-on and strategic tasks, such as creating prototypes, managing new tooling development, and troubleshooting technical issues.

responsibilities:
- Supports a specific packaging category or brand.
- Works as part of a team and contributes to team and personal goals.
- May assemble packaging prototypes for consumer testing.
- Participates in the development of new tooling.
- Learns how to manage vendor and operational adherence to project deadlines.
- Learns to anticipate and resolve roadblocks to ensure major launches are on schedule.
- Becomes proficient in systems related to packaging specifications and testing.
- Must have strong PC skills, including MS Office.
- Needs an understanding of the packaging production process.
- Requires meticulous attention to design details and quality.
- Demands excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work independently in a matrix environment.
- Must be well-organized and flexible, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Requires demonstrated skills in analyzing, reporting, and documenting information.
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Seeks 1-3 years of proven experience in package engineering and development, preferably in cosmetics, consumer goods, or a related field.
