responsibilities:
- Ensure the performance and reliability of equipment and instrumentation.
- Troubleshoot and maintain electronic, electrical, and mechanical equipment for plant, electric, and gas systems.
- Calibrate, maintain, and repair lab and inline instrumentation and equipment.
- Monitor processes and system status, and take action to address issues.
- Submit electronic work requests for equipment deficiencies.
- Consult with supervisors, operators, and engineers to discuss needs and provide technical expertise.
- Familiarity with the thermodynamic steam cycle, power plant components, and environmental regulations is a plus.
- Knowledge of analytical lab equipment, mechanical equipment, and water production systems is beneficial.
- Experience with NPDES, Storm Water, and RCRA waste management, and relevant certifications, are also a plus.
- A minimum of an associate's degree in a scientific or technical field is required.
- A Bachelor's degree in a scientific field is preferred.
- At least one year of experience in a power or chemical processing plant, or as a power plant operator, is preferred.
