A Buyer is needed for a leader in power and automation technologies in the Bartlesville, OK area. The job requires knowledge of procurement procedures, an understanding of technical drawings, and strong communication skills to work with different teams.

responsibilities:
- Acquiring materials based on technical specifications, price, and delivery timelines.
- Negotiating and renewing agreements with primary suppliers.
- Creating purchase orders based on requisitions and established procedures.
- Evaluating supplier performance, including delivery, quality, and lead times, and addressing issues.
- Finding and vetting new suppliers with quality and engineering teams.
- Ensuring supplier orders align with customer requirements for content, quality, delivery, sustainability, and cost.
- Reading and understanding technical drawings.
- Following standard procurement processes and company policies.
- Interacting with various internal groups regarding the procurement process.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in business or related field plus up to 2 years of experience, or
- Alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
