A Packaging Engineer is needed in the Clark, NJ area for one of the world's largest cosmetics company, with activities spanning skin care, sun protection, make-up, perfume, hair care and hair color. This position involves learning and applying technical and soft skills to support a brand's packaging, including prototype assembly, managing tooling development, and troubleshooting technical issues.

responsibilities:
- Create packaging prototypes for consumer testing.
- Participate in new tooling development.
- Ensure adherence to key deadlines by communicating with different divisions, operations, and vendors.
- Anticipate and escalate issues that may block projects from meeting deadlines or major launches.
- Become proficient in packaging specifications and testing systems to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 1-3 years of experience in package engineering and development, preferably in cosmetics, consumer goods, or a related field.
- strong PC skills, including MS Office, PowerPoint, and CAD software.
- Demonstrated understanding of the packaging production process.
- strong attention to design detail and quality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in analyzing, reporting, and documenting information with attention to detail.
