Seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our clients team to drive efficiency in a high volume manufacturing environment! In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and optimizing processes, and implementing lean manufacturing principles to improve quality, delivery and cost. responsibilities:
- Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality
- Analyze manufacturing data and workflow, including conducting time studies and value stream mapping, to identigy and eliminate waste
- Determine production capacity and coordinate with other teams on planning
- Analyze new products to ensure they can be manufactured effectively, including designing and costing the necessary tools and processes
- Collaborate with the EHS department to improve job safety by identifying and reducing ergonomic risks
- Design and implement lean manufacturing principles to meet company goals for quality, delivery and cost
- Lead projects to boost productivity and reduce lead times and costs
- Redesign the plant layout, workflow, and tool designs to improce efficiency and ergonomics
- Develop and maintain standard metrics for labor hours, and cycle time
- Create and improve standardized operating procedures and assist in training production staff
- Ensure production teams have the correct tools and fixtures and are using them properly
- Provide on the floor support to operations teams, offering guidance on resource utilization and cost reductive projects
- Perform other related tasks as assigned
