Large utility is looking for a Site Coordinator in Saginaw, MI. responsibilities:
- Perform site readiness reviews prior to construction.
- Verify site is accessible and to grade.
- Confirm both customer and public facilities are located/staked.
- Ensure trench path is available and forestry work is complete.
- Check for obstructions in the area.
- Verify customer conduits are installed, marked, and have pull strings.
- Determine traffic control requirements.
- Identify and verify primary/secondary voltages.
- Identify special equipment needs.
- Determine if a switching order is required.
- Confirm materials are delivered.
- Verify electric meter is mounted in the designed location, at the correct height, and inspected.
- Ensure gas meter location is marked.
- Determine if an outage needs to be coordinated, along with other miscellaneous site observations.
- Must have knowledge of electric and gas line construction methods/procedures.
- Must have knowledge of roadway protection requirements.
- Must have knowledge of the capabilities of tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints used in line construction.
- Keen sense of and ability to identify and mitigate safety hazards on the jobsite prior to crew arrival.
- Basic skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Proficiency in uploading/downloading files from remote locations via wireless connectivity.
- Dependable with good time management skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet a schedule.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Team player.
