A Quality Inspector is needed for a multinational power management company in the Grand Rapids, MI area. This Quality Inspector role requires recent quality department experience, and proficiency in manual inspection tools, GD&T/blueprints, AS9102 FAIRs, and Microsoft Office, to support both receiving and final inspection in a manufacturing environment subject to DOT testing.

responsibilities:
- Reports to the Quality Supervisor.
- Provides inspection support for both Receiving and Final Inspection, including month-end shipments.
- Inspects product using manual layout, caliper, micrometer checks, and plug/pin gage inspection.
- Performs tasks proficiently using Windows-based software (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word).
- Evaluates product compliancy through proficient understanding of blueprints and GD&T (within the last 5 years).
- Technically validates certified paperwork to match blueprint specifications.
- Provides inspection support for both Receiving and Final Inspection.
- Inspects product per blueprint requirements and current quality procedures.
- Evaluates product compliancy through understanding industry specifications, blueprint reading and GD&T.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Must have minimum two (2) years' experience working in a manufacturing environment within the last 5 years.
- Must have minimum three (3) years' experience in a quality department within the last 5 years.
- Documented experience evaluating product compliancy through a thorough understanding of industry specifications, blueprint reading and GD&T within the last 5 years.
