A Construction Manager is needed for an American social media conglomerate corporation in the Huntsville, AL area. This role is responsible for the safe, on-schedule, and within-budget delivery of large-scale Data Center (DEC) construction projects by managing external contractors and coordinating all scope aspects.

responsibilities:
- Contractor Management: Manage day-to-day activities with General Contractors (GCs) and Telecomm Partners.
- External Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for external partners (GC, Trade Partners, Suppliers).
- Goal Attainment: Drive solutions and monitor project status to preserve business unit goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Project Planning Support:
- Provide input into constructability.
- Assist in project schedule creation and maintenance.
- Risk & Issue Management: Escalate key issues for coordination with Campus Construction Management and Facilities Operations Project Management.
- Complex Project Navigation: Navigate the complexities of large-scale data center builds involving significant capital expenditure.
- Skills Demonstration: Demonstrate strengths in project management, problem solving, partnership, leadership, and behavioral skills.
- Onboarding: Work closely with tenured DEC Delivery team members for onboarding and guidance on company systems and procedures.
- 5-7 years of experience in commercial construction project management.
- Experience should preferably be with large-scale projects ($100M+).
- Minimum 5+ years of service as an experienced construction manager.
- Contractor Management: Proven experience managing general contractors and trade partners.
- Industry Field Experience: Prior field experience in commercial construction, specifically in: Data Center, Mission Critical, Oil, Gas, Chemical, or similar industries.
- Skills: strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Education (Preferred): Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Software (Plus): Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Autodesk Construction Cloud).
- Experience with large-scale project delivery.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Proficiency in: Project scheduling, Constructability reviews & Issue escalation
- Adaptability to company's systems, procedures, and standards.
