A leader in Safety Systems Engineering is looking to add a traveling Field Technician to their team. This job is fully remote and will be 75-80% travel. The ideal candidate will have experience working with electrical subcontractors in integrating cost-effective electrical guarding, from concept through installation and customer sign-off. The technician must ensure project requirements, schedules, and deadlines are met and that all necessary documents are complete and understood by the project team. This involves collaborating with the Project Site Superintendent, communicating with customers on design questions, and working with Electrical Engineers to develop and implement designs.

responsibilities:
- Supervise and assist electrical subcontractors in the integration of cost effective electrical guarding for customer machinery from initial concept and fabrication drawings to installation, customer review and sign-off.
- Identify technical challenges and seek creative solutions by drawing on available resources.
- Understand project requirements, schedules and deadlines and ensure that all documents are complete, organized and understood by the project team, including subcontractors.
- Collaborate with the Project Site Superintendent to implement scheduled tasks per the pre-defined and approved Scope of Work.
- Assist with qualifying vendors and procuring machine guarding components for projects through a vetting and bidding process.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding project status, resource requirements and potential obstacles to success.
- Participate in onsite assessment and guarding concepting and provide onsite installation supervision and training as required by project specifications.
