A leader in Industrial Safety Systems Engineering is looking to add a Industrial Site Superintendent to their team. This job is fully remote and will be 75-80% travel. This person will be responsible for the successful execution of machine safety projects at customer industrial workplaces. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position involves directing and coordinating all field personnel, fabricators, and electrical and mechanical subcontractors.
The primary responsibility is to ensure the implementation of scheduled tasks aligns precisely with the pre-defined and approved Scope of Work. This role acts as the main point of contact at the customer's facility, requiring a high level of professionalism. The Superintendent leads daily work crew meetings, coordinates permits (Hot Work, Confined Space), ensures proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and actively monitors safety procedures and quality control.
The Superintendent is also responsible for project reporting (written daily reports to the Director of Operations), material management, and achieving final project sign-off, which includes conducting the final machine inspection and obtaining the customer's signature.

responsibilities:
- Discuss safety procedures and pre-task planning
- Coordinate applicable permits for Hot Work, Confined Space, etc.
- Ensure proper coordination of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Review previous day's activity and collect time logs
- Set direction and measurable goals for the current day's activities
- Update machine status and sign-off projections
- Review material status and resource needs
- Plan for accomplishing weekly goals and meeting project deadlines
- Promptly notify the Director of Operations of any anticipated work delays, requested changes to the Scope of Work and any other customer or vendor issues/concerns.
- Receive and review materials, tools and equipment at the customer site. Submit packing slips and other documentation to the Accounting Department.
- Monitor quality control and general workmanship with regard to all applicable standards.
- Provide a written daily report to the Director of Operations summarizing the day's activities and other pertinent information.
- Pre-qualify machines and prepare sign-off documentation. Conduct final inspection of each machine and obtain the customer's signature and confirmation of project completion.
