A Machinist is needed for one of the world's largest suppliers of aerospace and defense products in the Savannah, GA area. This role involves operating and programming manual/automated bending machines, interpreting blueprints, performing setups, conducting visual and Vector-based quality checks, making data corrections, and maintaining daily machine and safety standards.

responsibilities:
- Produces bent tubes from raw material using manual and automated bending machines.
- Programs data into a computer to meet blueprint requirements.
- Interprets blueprints, work orders, set up sheets, and specifications.
- Assures all documentation is accurate.
- Performs visual inspection of raw material for conformance.
- Performs machine setups and acquires a first piece pass.
- Performs visual inspection of produced parts for conformance and defects.
- Uses measuring tools and calculates corrections for data.
- Performs Vector process (scanning) of bent tube to assure data meets requirements.
- Performs daily machine checks for leaks and daily cleaning.
- Maintains daily Quality and Safety standards.
- Manufacturing experience.
- Good math skills.
