A Material Coordinator is needed for an American corporation that manufactures agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, diesel engines, drivetrains (axles, transmissions, gearboxes) used in heavy equipment, and lawn care equipment in the Horicon, WI area. As the Material Flow Coordinator, you ensure that materials move smoothly across multiple factory departments, managing inventory, creating production schedules, and swiftly resolving shortages to keep manufacturing running efficiently.

responsibilities:
- Coordinates the flow of materials in multiple departments of the factory, potentially including shipping and receiving.
- Ensures production personnel have the necessary parts to produce products.
- Coordinates the tactical execution of the production plan within the factory.
- Works within larger and broader groups, often cross-functionally.
- May supervise or provide work direction to hourly material handlers, stock chasers, or truckers.
- Material Coordination: Coordinates the procuring, expediting, producing, and delivering material on time for multiple departments.
- Inventory Management: Oversees and ensures inventory is correct and on time; resolves inventory errors.
- Scheduling: Utilizes the Master Schedule to create and distribute daily production schedules.
- Shortage Resolution: Finds and corrects the root cause of material shortages; works critical shortage reports.
- Expediting: Expedites parts to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Process Management: Manages the movement of rejected material to its source.
- Auditing & Planning: Audits material replenishment cycles and accuracy; may create material replenishment plans.
- Procedure Recommendation: Recommends procedures to maintain inventory accuracy and management.
- Transaction Processing: May process transactions for inbound/outbound materials.
- Engineering Changes: Implements the output from the engineering release and change management process.
- Experience with manufacturing concepts including: Demand Flow, Kanbans, Just-In-Time (JIT), and Lean Manufacturing.
- strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Power BI experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Experience leading issue resolution amongst a cross-functional team.
- Experience in a Manufacturing environment related to material planning.
- Ability to work weekends/overtime as needed to support production.
- Experience with SAP Warehouse Module / Inventory Control / Materials Management Modules.
- Experience in Supply Management or Operations.
- Experience with the specific company's Production System.
- Experience working with a unionized workforce.
