A Supply Planning Coordinator for a medical devices and equipment manufacturing company is needed in the Portage, MI area. This role manages the purchasing process, utilizing the MRP system to issue and track purchase orders, ensure on-time supply, manage supplier communication (including price challenges and change orders), and coordinate supply issues/engineering changes with internal customers.

responsibilities:
- Issues suggested purchase orders (POs) based on MRP system suggestions and customer demand.
- Requests changes to PO dates from suppliers based on MRP suggestions and demand changes.
- Updates the MRP system to ensure clear communication of expected inventory.
- Monitors open POs and ensures on-time receipt.
- Issues POs to support engineering changes.
- Updates the business on the status and direction of their assigned supply business daily or as required.
- Updates internal customers on supply issues and drives them to resolution.
- Coordinates engineering changes between internal customers and suppliers.
- Updates existing POs as required.
- Manages suppliers to maintain continuity of supply and product availability.
- Challenges all price increase requests from suppliers and escalates unsuccessful challenges.
- Serves as the single point of contact for suppliers for SICR/Change Order tracking and prioritization.
- Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Must be PC literate.
- Undergraduate degree in business or related discipline.
- 0 - 2 Years of procurement work experience.
