A CapEx Project Engineer is needed for a leading manufacturing organization outside of the Greensboro NC area. The CapEx Project Engineer is responsible for the launch of new production lines. This role involves managing all stages of capital projects, from equipment procurement and installation to commissioning and handover, ensuring adherence to project milestones and advanced cleanliness protocols. Your efforts will directly support achieving the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency for our manufacturing processes.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a similar technical field, or at least 8+ years of equivalent experience in the capital project space. Crucially, you should possess proven project management expertise, specifically with capital investments exceeding half a million dollars, including developing detailed schedules and overseeing production preparation through to mass production start. Familiarity with interpreting technical 2D drawings is also essential. This is a long-term contract opportunity, and our client is only seeking local talent at this time.

- Manage equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, and launch for new battery production lines
- Engage with cross-functional, domestic, and international teams to align on schedules and project milestones
- Maintain and monitor detailed project schedules and assigned budget areas
- Participate in advanced cleanliness protocols required for battery manufacturing areas
- Support manufacturing trials and conduct root cause analysis for identified punchlist items
- Prepare KPI summaries, manage mass-production handover, and provide post-launch production support
