An Electrical Engineer is needed for an American multinational healthcare company that primarily focuses on products to treat kidney disease, and other chronic and acute medical conditions, in the Round Lake, IL area. This role requires a Graduate/Post Graduate Electrical Engineer to design, simulate (LTSpice/Pspice), and validate microcontroller-based analog/digital circuits for infusion pump systems, utilizing Altium/LabVIEW and knowledge of medical device standards (IEC 60601) to ensure product compliance and manufacturability.

responsibilities:
- Demonstrated track record in electromechanical hardware development, preferably medical devices, infusion pump experience is a plus.
- Creating analog and digital electronic circuit schematics for microcontroller-based embedded systems (including FPGA).
- Defining design requirements/hardware specifications, contributing to electronic system architectures, and completing system/sub-system design documentation (specifications and drawings).
- Defining test methods, advising circuit assembly layout for emissions and immunity (EMC), executing validation protocols, and ensuring compliance with standards (IEC 60601, IEC 61010, UL, ANSI, ASTM).
- Experience using CAD systems for PCB schematic design and layout (Altium Designer preferred) and data acquisition software (LabVIEW).
- Transitioning products to manufacturing and ensuring robust processes.
- Executing troubleshooting efforts related to electrical systems and resolving competing cross-functional constraints (e.g., regulatory, manufacturing).
- Creating and communicating design/test plans, managing time and resources to meet schedule milestones, and developing relationships with internal/external partners.
- Specific experience in design and development of sensing subsystems.
- Graduate or Post Graduate in Electrical or Electronics or related Engineering and
- 8-12 years of experience.
- Prior experience in infusion pump domain is a plus.
