A Lab Manager Technician is needed for a medical technology company focused on the repair, regeneration and replacement of soft and hard tissue in the Pittsburgh, PA area. This experienced Lab Technician with a technical degree and GMP/GLP knowledge needed to manage daily laboratory operations, ensure regulatory compliance and EHS standards, oversee equipment maintenance/calibration, manage inventory, and support testing activities.

responsibilities:
- The role is for a Lab Manager Technician responsible for daily lab coordination, operation, and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with company quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Support testing, manage equipment/supplies, and provide technical assistance.
- Oversee daily operations ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage lab equipment (calibration, maintenance, cleaning, troubleshooting).
- Manage the asset tracking system (location, state, availability).
- Coordinate and order inventory (supplies, chemicals, consumables).
- Support testing by preparing samples, conducting routine tests, and recording data.
- Upgrade/downgrade software on robotic devices for testing.
- Develop and maintain SOPs and ensure proper documentation.
- Train and guide staff, interns, or contractors on safety and technical procedures.
- strong knowledge of lab safety, regulatory guidelines, and quality management systems (ISO, GMP, GLP) required.
- Hands-on experience with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required.
- strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and laboratory management systems required.
- Ability to work independently with a strong customer service mindset required.
- Experience in a regulated medical device or pharmaceutical company is preferred.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement is preferred.
- Technical degree (Lab Sciences, Engineering, Biotech, or related) required.
- 3-5 years of experience in lab environments (medical device, pharma, or life sciences preferred) required.
