A Quality Inspector is needed for a multinational corporation that produces mirrors as well as a variety of construction, high-performance, and other materials in the Orange, CT area. A detail-oriented Quality Inspector with 2-4 years experience (preferred) uses measuring tools and blueprints to perform dimensional and workmanship inspections on manufactured and incoming parts, ensuring Good Documentation Practices and system release via the ERP.

responsibilities:
- Compare measurements, form, fit, function, and value judgments of simple and complex parts to blueprint specifications and workmanship standards.
- Ensure Good Documentation Practices (GDP) are utilized in all quality records reviewed/completed/inspected/audited.
- Inspect manufactured product for dimensional consistency, workmanship, and finish.
- Maintain timely flow of product through inspection to meet due dates for outside processes and customer deliveries.
- Inspect incoming materials for conformance to requirements, review certifications, and issue DMR or NCMR in the ERP system if needed.
- Perform In-process inspection.
- Review certification packages for product and release for shipment in the ERP system.
- File electronic data and maintain accurate certification files in QA.
- Assist the lead Inspector and department manager as needed.
- Perform other assigned tasks.
- Requires high attention to detail and consistency.
- Experience with basic measuring equipment like calipers or micrometers and common inspection tools is required.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications is required.
- Experience in a smaller production environment is required.
- Some experience with Visual Measuring Systems is desired.
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
- Quality Inspection experience (2 to 4 years) is strongly preferred.
