An E and C Engineer is needed for a utility holding company in the Denver, CO area. The role will be focusing on heavily on contractor oversight, budget management, scope development, and extensive collaboration with plant operations and reliability teams.

responsibilities:
- Manages all emergent capital projects at power plants and supports larger base and major capital projects.
- Supports reliability engineering by developing scopes, justifications, and managing projects through the emergent capital request system.
- Responsible for managing up to 20 small projects simultaneously, in addition to supporting large capital projects.
- Serves primarily as a Project Manager despite the formal title of E&C Engineer.
- Attends morning POD meetings and collaborates with operations and reliability personnel daily.
- Oversees contractors executing projects in the field.
- Handles all administrative project paperwork, including developing scopes of work and technical specifications.
- Coordinates material deliveries and installation with the plant.
- Interfaces regularly with internal business customers, external contractors, vendors, and consulting engineers.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) and uses ProjectWise for existing documentation.
- Must possess strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills to lead teams and build relationships.
- Requires the ability to multi-task and juggle several projects without sacrificing quality, and to take initiative.
- Experience with cradle-to-grave project management, including charters and managing budgets/money.
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing/plant environment (e.g., power plant) is necessary.
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil preferred) and
- 2+ years of experience.
