Large utility is looking for a Project Coordinator in Traverse City, MI. This role requires a minimum of a 2-year technical degree and a valid driver's license to effectively manage all phases of gas and electric service projects, utilizing SAP/CAD proficiency, analytical skills, and excellent communication to coordinate work between customers and internal teams.

responsibilities:
- Project Execution: Responsible for the complete execution of providing gas and electric service to residential and commercial/industrial customers.
- Customer-Facing Role: Act as "the face" of the company, coordinating all work between the customer, internal departments, and outside stakeholders.
- End-to-End Project Management: Oversee projects from initial customer scoping through the design, scheduling, and field construction phases to meet the customer's desired date.
- Distribution System Management: Possess a working knowledge of the Gas and/or Electric Distribution Systems to evaluate and analyze design requirements.
- Prioritization: Effectively prioritize and organize small to large sized projects based on customer needs.
- Field Work: May be required to meet on-site with customers to facilitate project success.
- Analysis & Scoping: Gather customer scopes, estimate customer and system loads, and direct the preparation of work orders.
- Coordination & Permitting: Coordinate prerequisites for successful project completion, including identifying and securing all required permits.
- Communication: Update customers on project status and serve as the main point of contact for all project-related inquiries.
- Costing & Scheduling: Provide cost estimates, generate tasks for other internal departments, and manage project milestones, organizing and prioritizing work assignments.
- System Utilization: Use systems like Computer Assisted Drafting (CAD) and SAP to process customer requests and align with internal quality control.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex problems, recommend alternatives, and take corrective action.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of business policies and procedures.
- Communication: Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Multi-Tasking: Ability to successfully multi-task and/or quickly switch tasks while remaining organized.
- System Awareness: Anticipate and understand the impact of actions/procedures on multiple systems.
- Work Style: Demonstrate leadership skills, strong teamwork, and the ability to work independently on complex projects.
- Technical Proficiency: Possess strong computer skills (Windows, Microsoft Office) and strong analytical skills.
- Education: A 2-year associate degree in a scientific or technical field (48 semester credit hours) OR completed two years of college course work (60 credits) towards a Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
- License: Must possess a valid driver's license.
