Seeking an Injection Molding Process Tech on 1st shift for a high growth materials manufacturing client in the Fairport, NY area.
The Process Tech would be responsible for providing technical expertise and setup support for plastic injection molding, including performing efficient tool changeovers and ensuring machine cleanliness before and after all production runs.

responsibilities:
- Execute efficient machine operation and changeovers: Perform tool change-overs upon job completion and answer machine alarms promptly and effectively to minimize downtime.
- Ensure quality standards: Analyze and troubleshoot machinery, making necessary process adjustments to consistently produce parts that meet or exceed quality standards. This includes diagnosing and resolving quality issues like splay, flash, heat sinks, and short shots.
- Maintain a pristine production environment: Clean machines thoroughly before and after each production run. Assist with housekeeping and the continuous maintenance of safety standards.
- Drive continuous improvement: Actively support and reinforce plant-wide improvement initiatives, including LEAN and High-Performance Team (HPT) methodologies.
- Monitor and optimize production: Continuously monitor the assigned production area, conducting machine-by-machine audits to ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), thereby facilitating efficient operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation: Accurately gather, monitor, and publish data on quality control, downtime, and production efficiency. Maintain and update set-up sheets and ensure the timely maintenance of all production and machine logbooks.
