A Senior Systems Engineer is needed for a biomedical/biotechnology engineering firm and multinational manufacturer of medical devices in the St. Paul, MN area. The Senior Systems Engineer will lead the design, development, and integration of high-performance Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Radio Frequency (RF) communication systems for medical devices, ensuring reliability, optimal performance, and strict compliance with medical and industry standards.

responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of BLE/RF systems (hardware and software) for medical devices, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Oversee integration and testing of wireless subsystems, conducting system-level characterization to ensure seamless functionality.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure on-time and on-budget completion.
- Analyze and optimize system performance, specifically addressing issues related to RF interference, signal integrity, and power consumption.
- Prepare comprehensive system architecture and design documentation, including specifications and flowcharts.
- Ensure all designs and documentation comply with FDA, ISO standards, and relevant medical regulations.
- Assist in preparing and submitting regulatory documentation for the BLE telemetry system.
