A prominent chemicals processing manufacturing plant in the Baltimore area is seeking a Mechanical Engineer. The Mechanical Engineer will initiate new projects for the chemicals processing plant to help reduce scrap, and to improve plant uptime and productivity. They will use expertise in mechanical engineering and design to provide valuable and creative ideas to improve operations. The position is salaried in the $90K+ range. Candidates with 1-2 years post college experience are encouraged to apply!

responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot equipment problems and solve process issues
- Direct and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives for new machinery in the plant
- Support Chemical Engineer on long-term improvement projects for new product development
- Commission new systems and verify performance prior to turning over to operations
- Monitor KPIs of daily plant production
- Coordinate installations of new solutions across multiple departments as a project manager
