An Engineering Project Manager is needed for an American multinational healthcare company that primarily focuses on products to treat kidney disease, and other chronic and acute medical conditions, in the Skaneateles, NY area. This Engineering role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, combined with 8-10 years of project management experience (including 2-5 years in matrix management) to independently lead complex, cross-functional medical device projects, utilizing strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills to ensure regulatory compliance and manage project financials.

responsibilities:
- Leads cross-functional teams in complex engineering assignments.
- Ensures compliance with medical device regulations and effective project execution.
- Requires a strong focus on project management, collaboration, and problem-solving across traditional product lines.
- Independently plans, executes, and directs cross-functional engineering projects.
- Adapts standard engineering principles to develop innovative solutions.
- Manages projects consisting of various cross-functional teams (including regulatory, risk management, quality, technical communications, and supplier quality).
- Oversees all financial aspects of product development (capital expenditures and cross-functional expenses).
- Identifies and resolves complex problems, developing new solutions for project roadblocks.
- Requires in-depth understanding of FDA regulations, ISO standards, and relevant guidelines for medical device labeling and compliance.
- Familiarity with Project Management Methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools (Gantt charts, project management software).
- Requires a strong foundation in engineering principles relevant to medical device design and development.
- Requires knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) practices and documentation requirements.
- Requires understanding of cross-functional team dynamics.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
- Requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Requires ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Requires meticulous attention to detail in reviewing labeling documentation.
- Must have independent judgment in evaluating engineering techniques.
- Must have flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and industry trends.
- Requires strong organizational skills with effective prioritization (Time Management).
- Requires ability to build and maintain positive working relationships (Interpersonal Skills).
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in project management, with a focus on medical devices.
