responsibilities:
- Handle job start-up items including billing, labor breakdowns, preliminary scheduling, and establishing equipment needs.
- Coordinate technical support tasks (e.g., valve charts, material submittals).
- Manage project communication with the construction manager/GC, subcontractors, vendors, and superintendents.
- Monitor the submittal process to align with project requirements.
- Manage the overall project schedule, including coordinating manpower, subcontractors, and expediting material deliveries.
- Monitor productivity and job performance by reviewing labor reports with project foremen.
- Handle all project correspondence, including change orders and proper documentation.
- Assemble monthly payment requisitions as required by the contract.
- Attend monthly work-in-progress meetings to review the project's financial status and discuss any issues with corporate management.
- Two years in project management for mechanical/industrial construction engineering projects.
- Degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
- Familiarity with the technical and administrative aspects of projects (plans, specifications, and internal forms/procedures).
- Detail-oriented, with problem solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Project, and scheduling software.
- Ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities.
