A Product Engineer Lead is needed for a multinational manufacturing company that produces and distributes trucks, buses and construction equipment, as well as marine and industrial drive systems in the Salem, VA area. This role is focused on product development, managing design issues/changes, ensuring manufacturability and cost efficiency, and utilizing CATIA V5 and 3D modeling to support all phases from prototype creation to product release.

responsibilities:
- Serve as primary responsible for design-related queries and issues.
- Manage and coordinate process and product changes.
- Utilize CATIA V5 for all design and engineering tasks.
- Apply engineering principles to develop automotive products that meet customer technical and functional specifications.
- Ensure automotive products meet manufacturing cost and efficiency requirements.
- Conduct 3D modeling to evaluate the technical feasibility of proposed designs.
- Support and participate in the design, testing, modification, fabrication, and assembly of automotive prototypes.
- Design manufacturing processes and equipment specific to automotive product production.
- Manage product releases, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of new designs and updates.
