A Quality Technician is needed for a multinational corporation that produces mirrors as well as a variety of construction, high-performance, and other materials in the Garden Grove, CA area. This Quality Technician role requires experience to perform specialized NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) on plastic parts, conduct dimensional checks, maintain quality records, and support various quality functions often in a cleanroom environment.

responsibilities:
- Performs Level II Dye Penetrant Inspections on plastic components in a manufacturing environment.
- Applies fluorescent dye and developer for inspection.
- Uses ultraviolet (black light) equipment to identify and interpret surface discontinuities.
- Maintains thorough and accurate inspection and process documentation/records.
- Conducts dimensional inspections using handheld and precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
- Reads and interprets engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection criteria.
- Applies appropriate quality sampling plans for inspection activities.
- Supports quality operations including Receiving Inspection, Final and Shipping Inspection, Calibration, Material Review Board (MRB), and Material Testing Laboratory.
- Requires proficiency in using precision measurement tools.
- Requires strong ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Requires familiarity with quality sampling plans and inspection procedures.
- Must have the ability to work in cleanroom conditions.
- Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
- Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quality Technician or in inspection roles.
- Requires Certification in Level II Dye Penetrant Inspection (ASNT or equivalent).
- Preferred qualifications include 2+ years of manufacturing experience (aerospace/metal preferred) and understanding of ISO 9001/AS9100.
