Immediate direct hire need for a Metal Fabrication Inspector in the Burlington area of Massachusetts!
This individual will have 3+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment with the ability to use test and measurement tools such as rulers, squares, circumference tapes, verniers, calipers, and gauge meters to measure and perform testing with minimal supervision.
The right person will have worked in a metal fabrication type environment, have proven communication skills and a solid mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and halt operations to correct any product shortcomings.

responsibilities:
- Read and utilize all measuring instruments to ensure product compliance
- Apply all testing and measurements with minimal supervision
- Assume responsibility to cease operations when product non-compliance is found
- Write inspection reports noting any defects on incoming materials, tools, dies, castings, etc.
- Build all necessary inspection setups with minimal assistance
- Cooperate with leadership observing procedures, records maintenance in accordance with MIL-Q-9858
- Qualifications:
- HS or GED with 3+ years related inspection preferred
- Great attention to detail and good communication skills
- Must be a self-starter with a willingness to take ownership and initiative
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a desire to grow in the role
- Basic understanding of GD&T
- Familiar with manufacturing processes such as metal forming, weldments, machining, and precise measurements
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision
