An Engineering Project Manager is needed for a utility holding company in the Denver, CO area. This is a Project Management Engineer role at a power plant, responsible for managing numerous capital projects (especially emergent ones), coordinating with reliability engineering, and overseeing project life cycles, budgets, and contractor management.

responsibilities:
- Designs, models, develops, and tests machines, structures, or systems.
- Develops functional requirements and applies standard engineering principles.
- Creates simulations and prototypes to evaluate and test designs.
- Designs, tests components, and integrates them into a final product.
- Monitors product quality, controls process efficiency, and evaluates effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety.
- Investigates root causes of failures and recommends improvements.
- Plant Fleet-based engineering role managing emergent, base, and major capital projects at power plants.
- Supports reliability engineering in developing project scopes and justifications.
- Manages the emergent capital request system/process.
- Responsible for managing upwards of 20 small projects simultaneously, plus supporting larger projects.
- Multi-tasking, initiative, teamwork, interpersonal/communication skills, cradle-to-grave project management experience.
- Requires proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
- Uses ProjectWise for existing drawings and documentation.
- Frequent use of Excel spreadsheets.
Education: Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or other relevant fields).
