This role is responsible for leading and overseeing the successful execution of complex and large-scale construction projects. The Senior Project Manager will provide strategic direction, manage resources, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with specifications and quality standards. This position requires extensive experience in project management, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of highway heavy construction processes.

responsibilities:
The responsibilities are categorized into the following core areas:
- Project Planning and Strategy: Developing comprehensive project plans, defining scopes, setting objectives, and implementing strategic approaches to project execution.
- Team Leadership and Management: Directing and mentoring project teams, assigning tasks, fostering a collaborative environment, and managing performance to maximize efficiency.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management: Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, regulatory bodies, and internal teams; ensuring clear communication and managing expectations.
- Budget and Financial Management: Developing, monitoring, and controlling project budgets; managing contracts, change orders, and financial reporting to ensure fiscal accountability.
- Quality Assurance and Safety: Implementing and enforcing rigorous quality control programs and comprehensive safety standards across all project phases to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
- Project Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate project records, preparing regular status reports, and conducting post-project reviews to document outcomes and lessons learned.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of construction methodologies, engineering principles, and highway heavy construction processes (e.g., earthwork, paving, bridge construction).
- Software Mastery: Proficient in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and financial management tools.
- Contract Management: Expertise in negotiating, administering, and managing complex construction contracts.
- Risk Management: Proven ability to identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks.
- Exceptional Leadership: Ability to inspire, motivate, and direct large, multidisciplinary teams.
- Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for technical and stakeholder communication.
- Decisiveness: Capacity to make timely and effective decisions under pressure.
- Strategic Thinker: Visionary approach to problem-solving and long-term project success.
- Advanced Certifications: Additional certifications or training in project management (e.g., PMP), construction techniques, or related fields.
- Industry Experience: Prior experience with specific types of highway projects (e.g., bridge construction, tunnel excavation) can be advantageous.
- Networking: Connections with industry professionals, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders.
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in project management.
- At least 5 years managing large-scale highway heavy construction projects.
